ここは福島市大笹生。福島盆地の北西部に位置し、山形県境まで広大なエリアが広がっています。フルーツラインと呼ばれる県道5号線を中心に、桃やりんご、梨など様々なフルーツが栽培され、全国的にも有名な果樹地帯が広がります。

This is Ozaso, Fukushima City. It is located in the northwestern part of the Fukushima Basin, with a vast area extending to the border of Yamagata Prefecture. The area is famous nationwide for its fruit trees, such as peaches, apples, and pears, which are grown along the Prefectural Route 5 called the Fruit Line.

また、ここにはエアレースで世界チャンピオンになった室屋(むろや)義(よし)秀(ひで)選手を輩出した「ふくしまスカイパーク」があり、「地上と大空を結ぶ航空公園」として多くの人に親しまれています。

It is also home to the Fukushima Sky Park, which produced the world champion air racer Yoshihide Muroya, and is loved by many as an aviation park connecting the ground and the sky.

ここ大笹生地区は、歴史ある神社や仏閣が数多くあり、古くから信仰の里として大切に受け継がれています。ヤマトタケルの神話や、奈良・平安仏教の縁に触れることが出来るでしょう。

Here in the Ozasao area, there are many historical shrines and Buddhist temples, which have been passed down from generation to generation as a place of faith. You will be able to get in touch with the myth of Yamatotakeru and the Nara and Heian Buddhism.
